Hi, I'm Dusty Marx; the face of Mountain Biking and Outdoor Adventures, and the creator of Clever Dog Graphics.
I started mountain biking on a whim in 2012. I needed a gym credit to graduate college, and didn't want to hit the weight room a few times a week for a semester. There was a mountain biking course available, so I figured 'Why not? I've ridden a bike before.' Completed the course on my Wal-Mart bike, and fell in love with this new hobby. A few bike upgrades and some social networking later, I decided to record my rides in hopes that I could show friends, family, and others in the mountain bike community what my local trails were like.
Years later, my wife and I embarked on a road trip where over the course of 11 days, we stopped at state parks and other POI's to hike around and take in the variety of scenery that nature provides. Our journey took us through 23 states spanning the entire eastern side of the US. I recorded our journey in hopes that viewers would be able to enjoy sights that they may never get the opportunity to see otherwise.
I started my YouTube Channel in an effort to inspire others to get outside and enjoy nature for themselves. Whether it's on foot or two wheels, there's so many different landscapes to see if you travel a bit outside your local trails. My goal would be to take this initiative full time, but unfortunately my day job and growing family keep me closer to home for the time being.
When I'm not embarking on any Outdoor Adventures, I'm relaxing at home with my wife and daughter. I've recently coerced my wife into getting back onto the bike so we can stay active together – and while my daughter is too young now, the Little Adventurer is starting to become more mobile. I look forward to the time when we can all explore the world together.
